Meet the Seamstress

Meet Amelia Wilcox, a seamstress, disability advocate, and creative spirit who views every stitch as an opportunity to empower. Amelia’s journey into fashion began with a love for textile craft and an unwavering belief that clothing can be both functional and beautiful.

In 2023, Amelia graduated from the GST BOCES Fashion Design, Merchandising & Marketing program, earning her Career & Technical Education certificate. From there, she dove into the world of adaptive fashion, determined to shape garments that honor individual mobility, sensory needs, access needs, and personal style.

While adaptive design is her specialty, Amelia also delights in the full spectrum of alterations and textile work. Whether it’s transforming a favorite piece so it fits just right, mending a beloved garment to give it new life, or collaborating on a custom creation each project carries her care, creativity, and conviction.

Clothing can be far more than something you wear: for Amelia, it’s a tool of independence, expression, and confidence. She’d love to work with you to make your wardrobe feel truly yours.

My Clients

The alterations I had done were finished in a good time frame. The fitting session was quick, precise and professional. The sewing work itself was great quality and each piece looks fabulous after.

I took some clothes to Millie for altering. I was very pleased with her. I will certainly ask her again.
